Hitting The Reset Button

I was walking around my neighborhood and suddenly noticed the trees along the streets are sprouting buds and some flowers are even beginning to blossom. What a lovely indication that the cold, dormant season of Winter is coming to a close and Spring will soon be upon us.

I've always found February to be an interesting month. We are all still basking in the afterglow of the Holiday Season and the promise of the New Year remains in the abstract - mostly because we haven't placed both feet firmly into 2013 yet. This is an ideal time of year to hit the RESET BUTTON.

There are times in our lives when the reset button is hit for us (or maybe it hits us in the head). Think back to a time when a life changing event came spiraling towards you and you felt powerless to stop it... that's a reset moment. It's an event that levels everything in your life and places you back at the starting line again. Well, we can also press our own reset button, all it takes is making the decision to start over.

STARTING OVER
The first thing you will need to do is to accept where you are at this very moment. Understanding where you are now will make it easier to detect what needs to GO. Are you depressed, heart-broken, ambivalent? Are you living a life filled with passion and excitement or is it stagnant and unchallenging?

Let go of that which no longer serves you - be it a relationship, debilitating thought patterns or even an old sofa. Toss those things aside that are cluttering your life and create the space needed for everything you actually do want in your life.

So, what no longer serves you?

TRANSFORMATION
The newly sprouting flora in this photo serves as a reminder that what we plant and nurture will thrive. So now that you've created clear space in your life what do you want to bring in?

We each have the ability to cultivate our own lives  - what do you want to see grow in 2013. What are you going to plant?
