Connecting to your Crown Chakra

The Crown Chakra (7th Chakra) is represented by a VIOLET color and the element of THOUGHT. It is our over-all Operating System, our bodies computer.  Its what allows us to be AWARE and is the energy center that creates awareness.

The Crown Chakra is located at the TOP of the head and it includes the brain as well as the mind. Its where our INTELLIGENCE and CONSCIOUSNESS reside.

If you want to make changes in your life begin by looking at your life as your personal WORK OF ART, its a work of art that is being created and revealed to you in every moment by the cause and effect of your choices, thoughts and actions.

In this, the final video of my "Intro to Chakra Series" I show you how to  access your Crown Chakra and guide you through a Meditation that will help you create the changes you want in your life. 



Other things you can do to stimulate the Crown Chakra are:
Head and hand stands, they are great for the Crown Chakra and if you're unable to bring yourself into a head or hand stand you can get the same benefits by hanging your head upside down - either in a forward bend or hanging your head off the side of a bed/couch - this position allows blood to rush to your head and its this extra blood flow that does wonders for the mind.

Forgiveness

Some of you may not know this but my father was murdered, he was killed when I was still a child. I think this is one of the reasons why I find myself drawn to real life CSI shows on TV and most news stories involving homicide and our legal system. Recently, I came across one story that is a truly inspiring example of forgiveness. The story revovles around the Whitaker family. The family consists of parents Patricia and Kent and their two son's, Kevin and Thomas. In Sugarville, Texas on December 10, 2003 the family was celebrating Thomas' college graduation from Sam Houston State University. Kent and Patricia had given their son a Rolex as a graduation present and the whole family went out to dinner. After dinner the family came home and upon entering the home they were each shot by a gunman who had been laying in wait for the family. Kevin Whitaker was pronounced dead at the scene, and Patricia and Kent were airlifted to a nearby hospital. Patricia subsequently died

Gunshots and Confusion. What could have happened but didn't.

Have you ever imagined what you would do if you came face to face with a gunman? Well, I have and the scenario in my mind usually ended with me ducking for cover. The real-life version however was completely different. What should have been an uneventful stroll down the street turned into a chaotic, sad, and yet life affirming event. Last Friday was to be the beginning of a celebration-filled weekend for me and I couldn't wait to get the party started. Friday night was going to be a fun, small, surprise party that I had arranged for my sister-friend and Saturday my husband and I were going to celebrate our wedding anniversary.  The clock on my dashboard read 3:05, I wasn't finished shopping for these two very special people and at this moment time was not on my side.
