Tonights Full Moon

Tonight is the last Full Moon of 2012. Tonight's full moon is called the "Full Cold Moon" or the Native American's called it the "Long Nights Moon."

The Moon will officially go Full Friday 2:22am
The Full Moon is best for banishing unwanted influences in your life, releasing old patterns and issues -this clears a path and opens the door for healing. Getting rid of those things that no longer serve you allows you to free up energy that you can then give to those things you want to bring into your life. You can do this work a couple days before the Full Moon, the night of the Full Moon and during the 3 days after. Which is perfect timing because that would be New Years Eve :)

The Moon embodies the Feminine Energy. In Native American traditions Women would gather under each Full Moon, create a bon fire, sit around it and share stories about their lives. They would place their focus on the fire and share their dreams, past, present and future. They would state what they no longer wanted in their lives, choosing to release those things they no longer wanted carry and also stating what they wanted to keep in their lives as well. They then did the same for the other women in the circle and for Mother Earth. After everyone has spoken and shared an Elder would lead a drum circle and to close the ritual everyone would dance to the drums.

Now, I've never personally attended a Full Moon Ceremony but I love the idea of it. Women supporting other women, sharing their thoughts and dreams and releasing all that energy into the universe together. I love the idea of a drum circle - envisioning everyone dancing around and allowing their souls to connect with each other. How powerful is that?

2012 is coming to a close, if you haven't read my blog on how to create what you want in the New Year CLICK HERE  to read it. Then bring your answers to those simple questions I posed on that blog to tonights Full Moon and continue every night until New Years Eve.
